This is a 200 mile race run entirely on the 2 mile long Old Severn Bridge. This race has all the same scary traits as The Tunnel (no frills, tight cut off (55 hours), high DNF rate) and although we both successfully completed The Bridge 100 two years earlier, this was a whole other ball game at double the distance!
Sadly we both DNFd, Paul at 88 miles (in 21 hours 28 minutes) and Aimee at 100 miles (in 22 hours, 54 minutes).

This is a 200 mile race run entirely in a 1 mile tunnel. Renowned for its no-frills set up, tight cut off (55 hours) and high DNF rate we were both very nervous going into it. And it defeated us both! We both felt we hadn't trained sufficiently strength-wise and the battering from running continuously on the same hard tarmac (on a camber) was too much for our legs.
Paul stopped on 52 miles and Aimee stopped on 66 miles.
This was a heart-breaking one, especially for Paul, as he had always wanted to run the Arc of Attrition 100 mile race around the coast of Cornwall. It was seeing this race on YouTube that inspired him to be an ultrarunner!
Unfortunately we struggled to maintain a sufficiently fast pace . We were sadly timed out at the St Ives checkpoint, ending our race at 80 miles. We gave it our best but it's a brutal winter race on rugged, coastal terrain and it defeated us!
