WHAT IS ALCESTER RUN 1000?

The Goal

We want to get as many runners involved as possible to collectively run 1,000 outdoor miles around all of the streets of Alcester, Warwickshire, over a 60 hour period.

We (Paul and Aimee) have set ourselves an ambitious goal of running 200 miles each, but we will need Alcester runners to cover the remaining 600 miles!

We are raising money for Parkinson's UK and The Beyond Recovery Project.

When and where?

 The event will start at

5am on Friday 2 October 2026.

The clock will stop at

5pm on Sunday 4 October 2026.

Aimee and Paul will be starting from the Greig Hall (B49 6AD) and that will be the headquarters for the event, but the runs will be taking place all over Alcester!

How to get involved

How to get involved

Run anywhere outside in Alcester during the 60 hour period, then swing by the Greig Hall with proof of your run (Strava, Garmin etc) and your miles will be added to the total.

*No need to pre-register*

And don't forget to make a donation - every £1 helps!

Our team will regularly update a map showing completed runs - spot a gap, know the area and fancy a challenge? Fill the gap by running where no-one else has run yet!
